Creating a digital policy footprint with the New York City Department of Probation
Esper is pleased to announce our partnership with the New York City Department of Probation, our second customer in New York City and latest addition to our growing roster of public safety customers.
The New York City Department of Probation (DOP) is a sister agency to the New York Police Department, one of Esper’s marquis law enforcement partnerships. The Department of Probation supervises people on parole and is a big proponent of incorporating evidence-based policies throughout internal operations.
Under the new leadership, the DOP was ready to introduce modern changes to the development and syndication of its policies. Here are just a few of the ways DOP will use Esper to benefit probation officers and their constituents:
- Improve employee access to policies with a mobile-friendly, easy-to-search Policy Library
- Introduce non-repudiation measures for policy violations and disputes within the agency
- Modernize departmental policies to reflect best practices in evidence-based policymaking
- Enhance transparency and accountability by creating a digital audit trail of all agency policymaking activities
